Considered one of the 100 most influential people in fashion, Isabel Toledo has been identified as a classical radical fashion designer because of the influences of geometry, simplicity and extreme attention to detail in the confection of her garments.

The new collection of prototypes is shown hidden within a selection from the Archives. True to her belief that fashion is both an ephemeral experience living inside a timeless and a graphic geography, the ebb and flow of style organically competes for attention, seasonally erupting in details and assuming new silhouettes.

Transport, cargo, travel and effort are the inspirational elements of this so characteristic trade, closely related to nature and to dedication.

The techniques of hand weaving, working with wool, knitting and the rustic/ sport mix define the collection.

'Romantik' is an exercise in sensory memory that evokes past present and future, possible and impossible loves, a collection of memories, not for the indulgence of nostalgia, but in the pursuit of  rekindling the pleasure evoked by a smell or a texture or simply, by your presence.

Pure, this is the idea of the fall-winter 14-15 collection. We explain the attention to detail and a minimalism that is the essence of the collection. We seek the purity of colors, shapes, a perfect finish, perfect material which encounters its essence in the duality between simplicity and sophistication.

Reducing right down to the essential. This is the presentation motto for the MANGO collection Spring/ Summer 2014. This season therefore, the designs are synthesized with the brand throwing their weight behind minimalist creations in search of those most special details.

The Stylistbook - Lío de Faldas (3)

The Stylistbook - Lío de Faldas (3)

The Stylistbook - Lío de Faldas (3)

A few days ago I discovered a fashion brand that you will love. Is called Lío de Faldas. A brand that defines itself as hippie -chic. Its essence can be found in India, where the designer, Cristina Balcells, found inspiration and fell in love with the fabric, colors and people. Everything is designed in Barcelona under the supervision of its creator and is produced in a workshop in India.

Lío de Faldas is designed for the woman who always wants to look good and take care of every detail. Its collections range from dresses, skirts , blouses and jeans to match with very glamorous garments or a basic t-shirt.

The Stylistbook - Lío de Faldas

For making the garments quality materials such as silk, wool, cashmere and lace are used. Also handmade embroidery , antique sarees, different fabrics and organic cotton . All this is what can be seen touching the clothes. You can see a great craftsmanship and the most interesting is wear original and almost exclusive garments because they produced very few units of each design.

The designs of Lío de Faldas take us on a journey to India with full of colours, wonderful fabrics and garments with charm.
