[:en]The traveling exhibition “Lingerie Française“, which runs the 100-year history of the iconic garment was presented in Barcelona. Cities like Paris, London, Shanghai, Dubai, Berlin, New York, Toronto, Moscow and Tokyo have embraced this show and now it is the turn of the modernist city.
The space chosen by the Promincor-Lingerie Française association is one of the so awesome spaces of catalan modernism as Casa Batlló.
Over 140 pieces of French lingerie brands are part of the sample. Aubade, Barbara, Chantelle, Empreinte, Implicite, Lise Charmel, Lou, Maison Lejaby, Passionata, Princesse Tam Tam and Simone Pérèle.
The retrospective begins in 1880 and ends with the creations of the future. An interesting journey through the history of such an iconic and female garment. French lingerie stands out above the rest for “being sexy, but not too” as well describes Catherine Örmen, curator of the exhibition, in the interview we did. Also, to have a long career in the fashion world, Örmen has written many interesting papers on fashion, especially in “History of Lingerie” with Chantal Thomass.
Lingerie Française promotes excellence, savoir-faire, beauty and sophisticated elegance of its outstanding industry through its prestigious brands, true icons of french style.
The exhibition is free entry and can be accessed at Casa Batlló in Passeig de Gràcia, 43 up to December 9 at the following times: 3 al 8/12: 9 AM to 9.30 PM. 4/12: 9 AM to midnight and 9/12: 9 AM to 6PM
An event not to be missed if you live in Barcelona. Well worth visiting the exhibition and learn about its history.
