Today I want share with you my first podcast. Some time ago that I wanted to record interviews in these formats. And so, tell you while you are on your way to work or back home, or when you need a break, who are the people who inspire me. The idea is that, through a series of interviews, discover with me inspiring people. Those who transmit that passion for what they do.
In this first interview I want to introduce Conchita Plasencia. She is from the Canary Islands and few years ago came to study Fine Arts at Barcelona, where she eventually stayed. From her land she brings memories, colors and vegetation. And from her mother has taken the passion for painting.
Conchita has his workshop in the corner from where I live. It is a bright space, large windows and overlooks the street. From the first moment I saw that space, made me very curious. Until one day I went, I showed up and wanted to know about her work. As you can see in the pictures the shop has lots of light, a subtle decoration and best of all: the products she creates. Go through that corner and watch her work is a real pleasure.
She defined as a painter, artist and artisan. As a passionate person for doing things with her hands. And the passion for what she makes, transmit it in hand-painted canvas transformed into cushions and bags.
She told me that at the first moment invents on paper, then improvises on the canvas and never repeated any pattern. Each piece is unique. Of course, all has its seal: the passion for the vegetal world and create freely. And especially unhurried.
I hope you liked the interview with Conchita Plasencia and see you in the next podcast. You can find me me at Click.
